At the Metro Vancouver mayors’ committee on Wednesday, Port Moody mayor Rob Vagramov put forward a motion that was passed unanimously to “send a letter to the Province of B.C. and the Government of Canada to make the necessary legislative exemptions to facilitate donations of surplus non-lethal equipment to Ukraine from local governments and police departments, including end-of-life body armour.”
