Prelude to the Best Sommelier of Canada Contest | SaltWireCHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A 49-year-old man is facing drug-related charges after Charlottetown police carried out a search warrant at a home on Friday, Oct. 20.
Around 2 a.m., the Charlottetown Police Street Crime Unit and patrol officers searched a residence on Bayfield Street, uncovering crystal methamphetamine, methamphetamine tablets, two replica firearms, drug paraphernalia and approximately $1,000 in cash. A Charlottetown man has since been charged with possession of crystal methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a methamphetamine tablet for the purpose of trafficking and two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
The accused has been released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in provincial court at a later date.
