.Metallica announces 'Month Of Giving' to benefit COVID19 relief efforts
For the past two years, the rock group has encouraged fans to give back to food banks for its “Day of Service” in May, via their charitable organization All Within My Hands. This year, the help is needed more than ever due to the coronavirus pandemic, so Metallica announced on Tuesday All Within My Hands' May Month of Giving.
“Inspired by today’s #GivingTuesdayNow, a new global date of giving in response to the global need caused by COVID-19, we’re going to spotlight four organizations we’re supporting throughout this crisis,” drummer Lars Ulrich said, announcing the news. “Each week this month, we will share with you what these organizations do and show you how you can chip in to help.
