The man who killed 14 people in a New Year's Day truck attack in New Orleans used Meta smart glasses to record videos of the French Quarter and plan the assault, the FBI revealed. Shamsud-Din Jabbar wore the glasses, capable of livestreaming, during the attack but did not activate the feature. The glasses, made in partnership with Ray-Ban, have a built-in camera, speakers, and AI that can be controlled with voice commands and gestures. They allow users to capture images and videos, livestream to Meta platforms, and interact with the company's AI assistant.
