Gainers: Shares of Meta Platforms Inc. META were trading up 12% in premarket trading after the social media giant posted better-than-expected first quarter earnings and revenue.
Amazon.com Inc.’s stock AMZN was up nearly 3% as traders look to the ecommerce and cloud giant’s results, which are expected after Thursday’s closing bell. Analysts surveyed by FactSet anticipate the online retailer to post earnings of $0.21 per share with sales of $124.6 billion. Shares in Merck & Co. Inc. MRK rose 2% premarket Thursday, after the drugmaker posted better-than-expected first-quarter earnings – it reported adjusted per-share earnings of $1.40, higher than the $1.32 per share FactSet consensus.
Harley-Davidson Inc.’s stock HOG saw gains of more than 4% after the motorcycle maker beat estimates in its first-quarter revenue and profit.
