Melania Trump's annual Easter Egg Roll event has been canceled, due to concerns about the coronavirus.

"Out of an abundance of caution and in accordance with the National Emergency Declaration concerning the COVID-19, the Office of the First Lady is announcing that this year’s White House Easter Egg Roll has been canceled," aThe first lady herself added in a statement, "The health and safety of all Americans must be the first priority, especially right now.

Trump has said little about the ongoing coronavirus spread in public, though she did tweet twice about the pandemic, first to link to the CDC website, and then to thank healthcare professionals. I want to take a moment to thank the medical staff, doctors, nurses & first responders who are working tirelessly to help keep our country healthy & safe.
