The Duchess praised the work the HubbCommunityKitchen is doing to help families struggling with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Today, a video has been shared showing Meghan Markle Zoom calling her friends at the Hubb Community Kitchen in London. Calling in from her new home in Los Angeles, Meghan looked as casual as the rest of us right now, wearing a classic white shirt and her hair slicked back in a bun.
The call was to celebrate the announcement of the Hubb Community Kitchen’s new initiative – the team is introducing a new meal delivery service for families struggling due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Per, the service will begin Monday and will see the team cook up to 300 meals a day, three days a week.
The produce will be provided by the Felix Project and British charity Street Games will help to collect the meals from the women’s houses and distribute them to those in need. Praising the women’s commitment to their community, Meghan said, “The spirit of the Hubb Community Kitchen has always been one of caring, giving back and helping those in need, initially in Grenfell and now throughout the UK. A home cooked meal from one neighbour to another, when they need it most, is what community is all about.
