Johanna Rosolen says that art has always been her strength and the way she best expresses herself. In fact, the Kentville, N.S., woman has memories of being four years old and illustrating books that she had written.
She has always loved the idea of being able to be a practising artist and make a living from her work.Rosolen first started taking on photography clients in 2010 when a friend of hers saw her personal work and asked if she would take photos of her family. From there, Rosolen’s photography business began. This was in the Yukon where she was living at the time, before she moved to Nova Scotia in 2015.
“I think it's really important that children of all ages have exposure to different art materials and that they get to explore the many techniques that can be used,” she says.She will also be offering more fun, one-time workshops based around the holidays or specific subjects.
