It’s tempting to slide George Blanda in this spot because how many other states could have a guy in the kicker spot who was, legitimately, a good kicker, but also a really good quarterback, too. That said, Bahr was a better kicker than Blanda so we’ll go with him. A Philadelphia native who played at Neshaminy High and then Penn State, Bahr was a sixth-round pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1979.
Bahr was a two-time Super Bowl champion, with his best run coming during the 1991 season. That year, he booted five field goals to lead the Giants past the 49ers, 15-13, in the NFC Championship game. He then kicked the deciding field goal in his team’s, 20-19, Super Bowl XXV win over the Buffalo Bills. Barr booted 300 field goals, connecting on an average of 72.3 percent of his kicks, through his career. He made good on 522 of 534 PATs, and finished his career with 1,422 points.
