Meet Calgary-raised Adin Hill, the breakout star of Stanley Cup playoffs yyc
Hill, who logged a career-high 25 starts during the regular season, had to wait for his shot this spring.
Although Hill is in his sixth NHL season, with previous stops in Arizona and San Jose, he has really made a name for himself with his masterful work over the past month. As Point put it earlier in this run: “He’s the talk of the hockey world right now.”Article content As Hill told Sportsnet’s Scott Oake just moments after backstopping his crew to a Western Conference crown: “My goal was to try to win a Stanley Cup with this team. We have a chance, and we’ve gotta go finish it.”
He honed his puck-stopping skills in both the Blackfoot and Okotoks minor-hockey programs and later tended twine for the Midget-AAA Buffaloes and AJHL’s Canucks. One of those coaches was bubbling with excitement earlier this week as he packed a suitcase to attend Games 1-2 in Vegas.
