The medevac flight left Victoria and within 30 minutes requested to land in Vancouver.

Vancouver International Airport spokesperson Adriana Unger confirms a medevac flight en route to Whitehorse from Victoria requested a 'diversion' to YVR at 10:45 p.m. on Wednesday.

Flight radar shows the aircraft flying over the Strait of Georgia, looping over Richmond near YVR and then doing a loop over North Delta. The aircraft then travelled toward Squamish, flying over Garibaldi Provincial Park, turning back and flying over Golden Ears Provincial Park. There was no impact on airport operations. It’s not clear how many people were on the flight.
