It was the Public Health Agency of Canada that advised P.E.I. public health officials about the exposure, said spokesperson Morgan Martin in an email statement sent to SaltWire Network March 8. Two doses of the vaccine are required to be fully immunized, and the vaccine is 99 per cent effective. In P.E.I. doses are given at 12 months and 18 months of age in a combination vaccine .
