The City of Langford and local residents are taking a big step in honouring veterans, unveiling a new crosswalk to serve as a reminder of the sacrifices made.
Langford Branch at 761 Station Ave., featuring a red and white pattern and the words “Lest We Forgot,” came to be after community members spearheaded the project and raised funds.
In a news release, Goodmanson says the crosswalk “serves as a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by our veterans and adds significant value to our community.” Langford residents actually brought the project forward to the city, which then “acted promptly to identify the most suitable location for the crosswalk,” reads the release.
