“When I heard that story, it was not what I wanted to hear. I do like Alex a lot. I don’t know Jordyn nearly as well as I do Alex.” Portnoy added that Bennett’s contract was “already up,” and that Woodruff’s was “coming up” in two weeks when he made the decision. “To be honest, based on some of the decisions, maybe they weren’t planning on staying anyways,” Portnoy said, to which Clancy added, “I think that’s where they were.”Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy explained on Barstool Radio why he did not renew Alex Bennett and Jordyn Woodruff’s contracts following drama with the hosts of the “Mean Girls” podcast.“Now, it’s like, am I going to give them the [podcast] IP, which I’m inclined to do.
