Wolverine debuting as the first major X-Men in the MCU potentially runs the risk of creating the same problem that plagued the Fox movies.
When it comes to Fox's X-Men franchise, the leading mutant has always been Wolverine with his healing factor and deadly adamantium claws. Now, Marvel Studios is gearing up to debut their own version of the X-Men franchise with the opportunity for a fresh slate. However, their first true X-Men project suggests an interest in doing the same thing with the mutant formerly known as Weapon X, though Marvel Studios needs to avoid recreating the same Wolverine problems made by Fox.

Played by Hugh Jackman in 20th Century Fox's X-Men franchise, Jackman has been Wolverine far longer than any other actor in a superhero role.
Although Wolverine wasn't the lead in the more recent X-Men series with its younger cast, he still made appearances in all of them except for Dark Phoenix. That being said, the newer movies were able to give more of a spotlight to other mutants on the team. Now that Marvel Studios has the rights to start their own X-Men franchise in the MCU, they have a chance to rebalance future movies so no one mutant monopolizes the movies as Jackman's Wolverine did .
The MCU Can Have A Better Balance Between Wolverine And Other Heroes Marvel Studios certainly has the track record to make sure its brand-new roster of exciting X-Men characters get their own moments and projects to shine with full arcs and stories in the MCU, much more than Fox was able to accomplish after banking on the popularity and success of Jackman's Wolverine.
