MCU fans have pointed out a baffling inconsistency over Korg's origin story in Thor: Love and Thunder. Korg is played by director Taika Waititi in the MCU, making his debut in Thor: Ragnarok. Waititi directed both Ragnarok and Love and Thunder where he played the Kronan warrior alongside the Sakaaran insectoid Miek, who befriend Chris Hemsworth's Thor and become close friends.
This discrepancy has been pointed out by MCU fans who immediately called out the Korg origin shuffle from Thor: Ragnarok to Thor: Love and Thunder, with many attempting to make sense of the plot hole. Some theorize that Korg's mom is transgender, while others posit that there was a divorce at some point, and many blame it on lazy continuity or even pushing a"woke" agenda.
