recently announced it would bring back a menu item that it first offered in the 1980s: the cheese Danish.
The flaky pastry is stuffed with a sweet cream cheese filling and topped with vanilla drizzle and buttery streusel. The cheese Danish will be available for a limited time beginning Sept. 14 at participating restaurants, drive-thru locations or for purchases made within the McDonald’s app for delivery.
The Danish will join other McCafe Bakery items, such as the apple fritter, cinnamon roll and blueberry muffin. All the items will be available for purchase all day. , the move by McDonald’s is a way to tap into nostalgia to draw in customers. Other fast food chains have deployed similar tactics to attract more people to their restaurants.
