ST ANDREWS, Scotland — Ever since Tiger Woods realized that he could still swing a golf club after his car crash, he has circled this week on his calendar.
By the time Woods met with media, it felt like we’d had a week’s worth of Tiger sightings at St Andrews, yet somehow it was just Tuesday.
“It’s one of the neat things about coming out here,” Woods said. “I stay at the Old Course Hotel, and I’ve gone out and putted a lot at nine at night. I just go out to one of the greens, and I just putt.” On Monday, he also played in the four-hole Celebration of Champions in a group with Lee Trevino, Rory McIlroy, and Georgia Hall.
