On Wednesday, many voters were shocked to learn that former president Donald Trump was officially withdrawing his endorsement of Congressman Mo Brooks for the US Senate. There had been rumors of such for weeks, but Brooks continually rebuffed the talk, calling it a “false narrative” spread by his opponents.

So I would resist assuming that whatever will go on between Britt and Durant over the next three months can be definitively controlled by anyone. In an August 2021 poll conducted by Cygnal of likely Republican voters in Alabama, a robust 57.7% said that Trump’s endorsement made it more likely that they would support a candidate.
