Breaking: Mayor John Tory announces he is officially stepping down this Friday
Mayor John Tory has steered his budget through city council, clearing the way for him to step down from office.
The $16.2-billion operating budget was adopted with only minor changes proposed by Tory and his allies.
“You have to try to achieve that balance. You can’t do everything you want to do. You never can, in a budget,” he said.
