Just 4 for his first 33 (.121) this season, Muncy hit a three-run home run in the third inning and a grand slam in the seventh as the Dodgers snapped their three-game losing streak with a 9-1 win.
SAN FRANCISCO — Max Muncy can really rake by the ocean.
Muncy came into the game batting .121 to start the season but hit his 22nd and 23rd career home runs against the Giants, the most he has against any opponent. Nineteen of those have come since 2020, the most home runs by any player against a single National League opponent in that time. Muncy got a 2-and-1 slider out over the plate from Logan Webb and crushed it, sending it 405 feet toward a large body of water for a three-run home run.
