Unfortunately, it turns out that such problems are not what the series editors have top of mind. Canada’s Parliament, they write, “under-represents the voices of women, Indigenous and racialized minorities. The House of Commons is still a predominately white, male environment characterized by adversarial and combative communication.” And it goes on to lament increased partisanship, the absence of transparency and frustrating parliamentary procedures.
