Matthew Gaudreau's widow gave birth to their first child four months after the tragic deaths of her husband and his brother, Johnny Gaudreau, in a drunk driving accident.
Four months after the death of her husband, Matthew Gaudreau's widow has given birth to their first child. The caption called their little one “Mommy & Daddy’s world.” Matthew Gaudreau, a minor league hockey veteran and high school coach, was 29. His older brother, Johnny Gaudreau, a star forward for the Columbus Blue Jackets, was 31. Both brothers were killed in a car accident in February caused by a drunk driver.
Matthew’s widow said that the moment they found out about their son, Tripp, it consumed her every day. She also spoke about the devastating consequences of drunk driving in her eulogy, pleading with people to never “put another family through this torture.”
