Matt Duchene: “I’ve really enjoyed my time here and we will definitely be talking with [Blue Jackets general manager Jarmo Kekalainen] and the Blue Jackets and seeing what’s in store.”
“There was a lot of positives about him, and the future will tell it goes,” Kekalainen said. “But we were happy with his performance. He was a good player for us, and he was a good teammate too.”
Sergei Bobrovsky was also asked about his plans for free agency, but the Blue Jackets goalie said he’s not ready to answer questions about his contract. He did dismiss rumours about if the relationship between him and the franchise was possibly fractured. “No, I don’t feel that way,” he said. “There were some ups and downs as always in that process, but we say thank you to each other and it’s good.”
