Maryland co-offensive coordinator Kevin Sumlin was arrested on a DUI charge in Florida on Saturday. Kevin Sumlin, the associate head coach and co-offensive coordinator for the Maryland football team, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence early Saturday morning in Tampa, according to a report filed by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.The arrest, first reported by The Diamondback student newspaper, occurred at 12:40 a.m. on Highway 301 east of downtown Tampa.
Terrapins Coach Michael Locksley was not immediately available for comment. Locksley’s regular news conference with the media takes place on Tuesday afternoons during game weeks.
