Marvel star joins Will Smith's I Am Legend sequel
, Smith shared a picture of post-apocalyptic scene from the original movie alongside the caption:"I Am Legend 2 confirmed [x2 flame emojis]".
The first movie, which grossed nearly $590 million worldwide, saw Smith play Robert Neville — a New York scientist and the last human in survivor of a plague that transforms humans into cannibalistic mutants called Darkseekers. In an effort to reverse the effects of the human-made virus, originally created to cure cancer, Dr Neville uses his own immune blood in a desperate bid for a cure but soon learns he is drastically outnumbered by the albino mutants.The film also received nods for Best Picture, Best Supporting Actress, Best Original Screenplay, Best Film Editing and Best Original Song.
