But Hefner – whom Lambropoulos describes as “very passionate” – did his research “over the course of several months” and decided to make three significant purchases: a “Disco” Holo Shadowless Charizard Pokémon card for $40,000, a CGC 2 “Disco” Holo Shadowless Blastoise Pokémon card for $10,000 and a CGC 5.0 “Amazing Fantasy 15 Spider-Man” comic book for $50,000.
“We’re still in a recession, so the comic hasn’t made a profit,” he shares, clarifying that his goal for all three items is to sell them for a profit once the market turns in his favor.Marston Hefner “But S&P 500 doesn’t motivate me like Pokémon cards,” he notes, adding that he “can’t wait to build Legos and watch ‘Pokémon'” with their baby boy, whom Lambropoulos says “comes alive” when his “caring and attentive” father reads to him.
