A new resolution laying out a package of “rights” for trans people unveiled last month by Democrats could lead to antifa-style summer riots and the further domination of men in business, government, sports, and society, a leading critic charged on Monday.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, in a long Twitter thread, said the Trans Bill of Rights could inflame the already red-hot national debate over trans politics affecting everything from college swimming to Bud Light marketing.“Prepare for Transtifa riots in the future, but I believe these could be worse,” said the lawmaker. “Men pretending to be women would not just be equal to women in all areas, they would be preferred and above all women, essentially replacing women.
“Lives are at stake. The health, safety, and freedom of trans people are at stake. Congress must take a stand in the face of dangerous, transphobic attacks waged by far-right state legislatures and once again reaffirm our nation’s bedrock commitment to equality and justice for all,” said Sen. Edward Markey .
“With this resolution, we salute the resilience and courage of trans people across our country and outline a clear vision of what we must do in Congress in order to allow trans people to lead full, happy lives as their authentic selves,” said Jayapal. — Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene🇺🇸 April 10, 2023 “It’s a sense of Congress resolution, meaning it wouldn’t have the force of law but would lead to laws, and it’s the most insane piece of legislation I’ve ever seen. 10 pages of mentally unstable wokeness,” she tweeted.
