Bryan Woo pitched seven scoreless innings, while Julio Rodríguez and Colt Emerson homered as the Seattle Mariners defeated the Detroit Tigers 4-2 in a game marked by late-inning tensions and solid home performance from Woo.

The Seattle Mariners continued their strong home performance with a 4-2 victory over the Detroit Tigers on Wednesday night at T-Mobile Park. Right-hander Bryan Woo delivered a stellar outing, pitching seven scoreless innings while allowing just three hits, walking one, and striking out five.

His dominance at home has been impressive, with a 6-0 record and only four earned runs surrendered across 45.1 innings in his last seven home starts dating back to May 6. Meanwhile, Julio Rodríguez and Colt Emerson provided the offensive firepower, each hitting home runs that proved crucial in securing the win.

Rodríguez, who finished 2 for 3 with a walk, launched a 97.3 mph sinker 366 feet into right field in the seventh inning, extending the Mariners' lead to 3-0. Woo faced some late-inning tension after hitting three batters, which escalated when Enmanuel De Jesus plunked Cal Raleigh in the bottom half of the seventh.

The eighth inning brought further drama when Gabe Speier struck out Hao-Yu Lee and flied out Kevin McGonigle before hitting Gleyber Torres with a 96.3 mph fastball, sparking a bench-clearing incident that led to Speier and Mariners manager Dan Wilson being ejected. Relief pitcher Eduard Bazardo then came in, but Dillon Dingler's 424-foot homer in the ninth cut into the Mariners' lead, making it 3-2. Dingler also went deep in Detroit's 8-0 victory over Seattle the previous night.

Elsewhere, Tigers outfielder Josh Naylor saw his 25-game on-base streak-the longest active stretch in the majors-come to an end as he went 0 for 3. The series will conclude on Thursday with Detroit left-hander Framber Valdez (6-7, 4.41 ERA) taking the mound against Mariners right-hander Bryce Miller (4-5, 2.80)
