The heat wave will continue through the rest of the week, but a cool down is expected after the weekend and showers are possible next week.

High temperatures in the Inland Empire are expected to persist through the rest of the week before the area cools slightly next week, forecasters said Wednesday.

Highs in Riverside and Ontario will remain around 95 degrees from Thursday through Sunday. San Bernardino will be slightly hotter reaching about 98 to 99 degrees during that same period.
