PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Wednesday confirmed that he would return to the United States (US) to participate at the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in November this year.In his remarks during a courtesy call atf the US-Asean Business Council in Malacañang, the President said the Philippines is actively participating in the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity as well as in the APEC Summit.'I look forward to joining fellow APEC leaders in California later this year. This will be my third trip to the US since I assumed office,' Marcos said.The summit will be held on November 12 in San Francisco, California, US Vice President Kamala Harris had announced.The APEC serves as the premier Asia-Pacific economic forum established in 1989 with the primary goal of supporting sustainable economic growth and prosperity in the Asia-Pacific region.Its 21 members include Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Chile, the People's Republic of China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, the Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, the US, and Vietnam.
