The March is to begin at 5:30 p.m. with a rally at the Capital Pride Community Stage, found at the intersection of Bank Street and Laurier Avenue. “Over the past two years, we’ve seen a staggering rise in anti-trans hate with trans people used as a wedge and targeted by far-right hate-motivated groups as part of an effort to rollback inclusion for all queer and trans communities,” said Johnstone.
Personally, Johnstone said she has been “targeted time and time again” by individuals across North America who have published pre-transition photos of her and shared her deadname with their audiences.
