Exploration activities contemplated during 2023-24 include a 70,000 metre drill program at the Leprechaun, Marathon and Berry deposits, as well as exploration at Eastern Arm and Western Peninsula prospecting areas. He added they are also beginning to see “significant” gold geochemical anomalies in the samples taken from the Eastern Arm area last summer.
The new study suggested mining of the Berry Hill deposit, in addition to the Leprechaun and Marathon pits,The Valentine Project was approved for construction in September 2022 and early works commenced in October 2022. First ore is scheduled to be delivered to the mill in late 2024, with production ramp-up scheduled for the first quarter of 2025.New Found Gold geologists Melissa Render, Miguel Nassif and John Fingas , mapping at the Eastern Pond Trench, Queensway South, in the fall of 2022.
