It has been a very wet and thundery week, with counties around Ireland experiencing flooding and warm temperatures.
Met Eireann issued a thunderstorm and rainfall warning for Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Wicklow, Cavan, Monaghan, Clare, Limerick, Tipperary, Galway and Roscommon. Tuesday, 20 June A cloudy and showery day with showers turning heavy into the afternoon and evening. Some thunderstorms are likely. Highest temperatures of 18 to 21 degrees in just light southerly breezes.
Mostly dry and clear overnight with just light patchy rain and cloud lingering in parts. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 13 degrees with light variable breezes.
