The Maple Leafs are favourites against the Blue Jackets in Game 2, according to OddsShark.
After tallying a decisive 4-1 victory over Winnipeg in Game 1, the Flames were forced to play catch-up on Monday afternoon in a 3-2 loss to the Jets. The defeat extended the Flames’ recent playoff record to a shaky 2-11 in their past 13 contests, while giving the Jets a big lift after losing both Mark Scheifele and Patrik Laine to injury in Game 1.
Like the Maple Leafs, the Canucks’ offense came out flat in a 3-0 loss to Minnesota in Game 1 of their series. Vancouver has now fallen to defeat in 12 of its past 18 contests, while scoring two or fewer goals in nine of those games. The Canucks have also dropped six of eight to the Wild since January 2018.
That’s a slide that could be difficult to reverse against a Minnesota team that looks to Game 2 as a -115 wager.
