A 20\u002Dyear\u002Dold from Vancouver and a 22\u002Dyear\u002Dold from Burnaby are facing drug trafficking and firearm charges.
According to RCMP in Stonewell, Manitoba, they received a report that a drone was flying above Stony Mountain Intuition on July 3 at 3:20 a.m.
A search of where the drone was seen to have landed in prison yard turned up a package that contained a quantity of methamphetamine and what police suspect to be fentanyl. Employees at the jail also reported having seen a drone and having found a similar package a day earlier. Two days later, Winnipeg Police were called to an Airbnb after police say the owner found “concerning items” within the rental after the renters had failed to return.Police said they seized a firearm and a large quantity of meth and other illicit drugs.
