Manitoba RCMP are investigating the death of a man apparently killed in a tent by a falling tree.
Police responded to a call early Monday about a sudden death at a campground at Manigotagan near Lake Winnipeg.
Officers were told that during a thunderstorm that produced high winds, a large tree fell onto a tent where a man and woman had been sleeping.The fallen tree had to be cut in order for the two to be freed.RCMP say the woman was not physically injured.responded to a report of a tree having fallen onto a tent in a Manigotagan campground during a thunderstorm. Officers arrived & located a 60yo male who was pronounced deceased. A female, in the tent, was not physically injured.
