Arkansas police believe Stacy Lee Drake, wanted in connection to a series of killings in Oklahoma, is in the Morrilton, Ark., area. KARK's Neal Zeringue reports.
A man wanted in connection to 'multiple homicides' in Oklahoma was spotted in neighboring Arkansas and could be camping out as police continue their hunt, officials said Wednesday. Stacy Lee Drake, 50, 'is known to have purchased camping gear and all indications are he is still in the Morrilton area,' which is about 50 miles northwest of the Little Rock, Arkansas state police said in a statement.
Drake has brown hair and eyes and is 5-foot-11, 185 pounds. The suspect's last known address is in Birmingham, but authorities in Sequoyah County, Oklahoma, said he'd spent several recent days in their community. He's being sought for the slayings of a man and woman and a car theft in Sallisaw, near U.S. Highway 64 on Tuesday night, local and state officials in Oklahoma said. Sallisaw is about 130 miles west of Morrilton.
