Joe Manchin criticized Biden for shifting his positions to the left, arguing he was going too far left to be re-elected.

Manchin, after flirting with a third-party presidential run for months, recently decided against it. The decision hasn’t stopped his commentary on the election, however, as he has continued to ramp up his criticism of Biden.

Joe Manchin, whose state of West Virginia is among the hardest hit by rising fentanyl overdoses, about what he thinks should be done to combat the drug and more at“Biden, I’ve known him for an awful long time, a good person,” Manchin said, adding that he was a friend. “He has been pushed so far left it’s unbelievable. And I have been raising hell from day one. Because I’m trying to say — this is not how you’re going to get reelected.

“You won’t get reelected over here,” he continued, motioning to the left. “Be the Joe Biden we thought we elected. Come back here,” he said, motioning to the middle.He said that he and Biden “talk” but wouldn’t clarify how often or when the last time they spoke was. Manchin has spent much of the past year criticizing Biden for drifting more progressive, largely regarding his stances on immigration and the environment. The West Virginia Democrat maintains that he won’t vote for former President Donald Trump but hasn’t decided on whether to endorse Biden.
