A man was wounded by gunfire Wednesday night in Oakland in what the victim told police was a drive-by shooting.
OAKLAND — A 27-year-old man was wounded by gunfire Wednesday night in what he told police was a drive-by shooting in the Fruitvale district, authorities said.
The man told police he was walking with some other people about 11:27 p.m. Wednesday in the 3600 block of Foothill Boulevard when someone in a passing car began shooting at them. He was the only one hit by the gunfire.
