A San Antonio man was sentenced last Friday to 37 months in prison for embezzling over a million dollars while working as an administrator for Johnson City.last December to one count of theft from a state or local government that receives federal program funds.

The U.S. Department said in a news release that Holland, who was the secretary and chief administrative officer for Johnson City, embezzled over $1.1 million between 2015 and 2020 by falsifying city financial records and other documents.Texas officials investigating whether patient's death is first U.S. monkeypox casualty

Holland used some of the money to purchase a home in the Stone Oak area of San Antonio, the news release said. A previous Express-News story said authorities had seized the home, located in the 24600 block of Glass Canyon. The home was last sold in 2021 for $370,000, according to the real estate site Zillow.
