U.S. Marshals say that on Jan. 5, Sparks broke into the Bedford Heights apartment of his 33-year-old ex-girlfriend. He reportedly crept into her bedroom, woke her up and shot her friend, Zaire Montez Garrett, 25, in the back of the head.
