The woman has been identified as Maria Virginia Hernandez. Police said the suspected shooter, 54-year-old Enrique Lara, fled to Mexico but was apprehended by authorities there on Tuesday.Police said Lara shot Hernandez at around 1:30 p.m. in an office building located in the 100 block of Interpark Boulevard.
When authorities arrived, they said they found Hernandez suffering from a gunshot wound. She was taken to a local hospital in critical condition and later died. Police did not say when the woman died. During their investigation, homicide detectives identified Lara as the suspect and learned that he had fled to Mexico.
