A man was shot Sunday in a West Oakland neighborhood, authorities said.
Around 2:55 p.m., officers responded to a report of ShotSpotter activity near the 1000 block of 30th Street in the city’s Clawson neighborhood.
When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound, and provided treatment until paramedics and Oakland Fire Department firefighters arrived. He was taken to a hospital and later listed in stable condition. Officers canvassed the area after blocking off traffic lanes and found multiple casings. Police did not provide descriptions of any suspect or associated vehicle.
For information leading to the arrest of a suspect, police are offering up to $5,000 in the shooting. Anyone with information may call police at 510-238-3426 or Crime Stoppers of Oakland at 510-777-8572.
