Saanich police actions were not to blame for a man’s life-threatening injuries discovered at a motor-vehicle incident July 7 at Cook Street and Cloverdale Avenue, the civilian oversight agency for police has found.
The Independent Investigations Office, which looks into police-related incidents resulting in serious harm or death, made the finding in a bulletin issued Monday.The report said the man, who survived, had injuries that appeared to have been self-inflicted.
