The body of a man was found in Lake Ray Hubbard Tuesday morning, according to Rowlett police.
Authorities are trying to identify the body of a man found Tuesday morning inShortly after 8 a.m., officers were notified of a body in the lake near the 1300 block of Rowlett Road, police said. A Rowlett Fire Department dive team recovered the body.
Police have not been able to confirm whether the body belonged to a man with dementia reported missing over the weekend. Late Sunday, a 60-year-old man last seen walking away from his home in the 2600 block of Sassafrass Way was reported missing by his wife, according to police. Jaqueline Vergara, a spokeswoman for the department, said the body was found close to an area where authorities had previously searched for the missing man.
