Toronto police have identified a man killed in a shooting in Scarborough early Thursday. Adam Christopher Moncrieffe, 34, of Toronto , died in hospital, police said in a news release. He is the city's 83rd homicide victim of the year.
According to police, Moncrieffe was shot while he was walking in the area. The shooter was travelling in a vehicle, police said. Officers found Moncrieffe with gunshot wounds. He was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. Anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have information is being asked to contact police. Police are also appealing for help from businesses with video surveillance and drivers in the area around midnight with dashboard camera video. 'We understand that incidents like this cause concern within the community. Please know that we are dedicating all necessary resources to this investigation.
