OAKLAND — An early morning shooting near the city’s waterfront left a man dead on Thursday, according to authorities.
The man was shot at 4:59 a.m. on the 100 block of Embarcadero West, near Jack London Square. He was pronounced dead after being taken to a hospital. The man killed was not publicly identified, pending confirmation and notification of next of kin. Police did not release any information about possible suspects.
