Toronto police are investigating the incident as a homicide and believe three suspects are responsible. They are urging the suspects to turn themselves in. Police responded to reports of a wounded person around 12:30 a.m.
on Sunday. Upon arrival, officers found the victim with significant injuries and immediately provided first aid and CPR. Despite their efforts, the man was pronounced dead in hospital. A large crime scene was established, with members of 53 Division and the homicide unit diligently working to gather evidence. Forensics teams were also present, meticulously collecting and analyzing items found at the scene.Detective Sergeant Phil Campbell of the homicide unit addressed the media, emphasizing the gravity of the situation. While the victim's identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, Campbell stated that police are working diligently to piece together the events leading to the man's death. He declined to disclose specific details about the nature of the injuries or any potential weapon involved, urging the suspects to come forward and provide their account. He stressed the importance of public cooperation, appealing to anyone with information, even seemingly insignificant details, to contact the police. The investigation is ongoing, with investigators actively obtaining additional video footage from the surrounding area. The forensics team is also working to identify the seized items, hoping to uncover crucial evidence that will lead to the apprehension of the suspects
