Officers responded just before 2:30 p.m. to a shooting call in the 4400 block of Chesapeake Bay Drive, near South Hulen Street. When they arrived, the officers found a man dead in the front yard of a home with gunshot wounds to his upper body, police said. Investigators found that someone drove up to the home and fired multiple shots at the man before fleeing in a vehicle. Police described the shooter as “unknown” and did not release any additional information about the shooting.Medical personnel tried life-saving measures on the victim, but he was pronounced dead there, according to police. His identity had not been released Friday afternoon and the Tarrant County medical examiner will decide the cause and manner of his death, police said.
